Lauren Cohen is the Executive Director of MY Museum in Monterey, where she leads the organization’s mission to inspire creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning for young children and their families. With a passion for building community connections and expanding access to playful learning, Lauren oversees strategic planning, program development, fundraising, and community partnerships that help MY Museum thrive as a beloved regional resource.
Throughout her tenure at MY Museum, Lauren has championed initiatives that strengthen community outreach and expand the museum’s reach beyond its walls, including partnerships with schools, local agencies, and cultural organizations.
Her work reflects a commitment not only to the museum’s mission, but also to the vitality and well-being of the broader Monterey community.
Lauren is equally proud of her family life. She and her husband are raising two wonderful children. Whether at the museum, in the community, or at home, Lauren brings enthusiasm, empathy, and a deep love for supporting children’s growth and imagination.
